The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has issued an important announcement regarding the rescheduling of Paper 1 of the Chartered Accountants Final and Intermediate Examinations, September 2025, in select cities of Punjab and Jammu City.
As per the revised schedule, CA Final (Group I) Paper 1 - Financial Reporting, originally slated for September 3, 2025, will now be conducted on September 24, 2025 (Wednesday). Similarly, CA Intermediate (Group I) Paper 1 - Advanced Accounting, earlier scheduled for September 4, 2025, has been postponed to September 25, 2025 (Thursday).
The rescheduled exams apply only to candidates appearing in Amritsar, Bathinda, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Mandi Gobindgarh, Pathankot, Patiala, Sangrur (Punjab), and Jammu City. ICAI has clarified that the examinations will be conducted at the same centres and timings (2:00 PM to 5:00 PM IST) as notified earlier. Importantly, admit cards already issued will remain valid for the new dates.
ICAI further emphasized that there will be no change in exam dates even if the revised days coincide with a public or local holiday. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official ICAI website (www.icai.org) for updates.
This rescheduling follows ICAI's earlier announcement on September 2, 2025, and aims to provide clarity and certainty for students in the affected regions.
