The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the postponement of the Chartered Accountants (CA) examinations scheduled for 9th and 10th September 2025 in Kathmandu, Nepal, owing to widespread protests in the region.
The decision was conveyed through ICAI's Important Announcement No. 13-CA (EXAM)/SEPTEMBER/2025/IV, released today. This follows earlier announcements issued on 30th May, 2nd September, and 5th September 2025 regarding the September CA exams.
The Institute clarified that the postponement is applicable only for candidates appearing in Kathmandu. Revised dates for the exams scheduled on the affected dates will be announced shortly.

Re: Postponement of Chartered Accountants Examinations scheduled to be
held on 9th & 10th September 2025 in Kathmandu only
No. 13-CA (EXAM)/SEPTEMBER/2025/IV: In continuation of the Institute's Important Announcement No. 13-CA(EXAM)/SEPTEMBER/2025 dated 30th May 2025, read with Announcement No. 13-CA (EXAM)/SEPTEMBER/2025/II dated 2nd September 2025 and Announcement No. 13-CA (EXAM)/SEPTEMBER/2025/III dated 5th September 2025 , it is announced for general information that in view of the widespread protests in Nepal, the Chartered Accountants Examinations scheduled to be held on 9th and 10th September 2025 stand postponed in Kathmandu (Nepal) only.
Revised dates for the exams scheduled on the above two dates in Kathmandu shall be announced soon.
However, it is clarified that other particulars/details as announced vide Important Announcement dated 30th May 2025 hosted on www.icai.org shall remain unchanged.
The candidates are advised to stay in touch with the website of the Institute, www.icai.org.
