The Office of the Principal Commissioner of CGST, Delhi South Commissionerate, has issued Trade Notice No. 20 of 2026 informing taxpayers, industry stakeholders and field officers about recent system enhancements introduced on the GST portal.

The notice draws attention to the "Functionality Deployment Report - October 2025" released by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC). The report outlines several technical upgrades and functional improvements aimed at strengthening tax administration and improving operational efficiency under the GST system.

According to the notice, the updates cover multiple modules on the GST platform, including appeals management and audit processes. One of the key developments relates to the integration of GST systems with the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT) framework. The update includes changes to the officer list API to support tribunal-related processes more efficiently.

In the audit module, new features have been introduced to facilitate multiple case allocation and assignment. The system now allows audit case requests to be manually assigned by selecting the concerned officer from a dropdown menu, providing greater flexibility and administrative control for tax authorities.

These updates are part of the government’s ongoing efforts to improve the digital infrastructure of GST administration and streamline interactions between taxpayers and tax officials.

Taxpayers, businesses and field officers have been advised to take note of these changes and ensure compliance with the updated system functionalities. The department has also encouraged stakeholders to stay informed about future updates to the GST portal as the system continues to evolve.
