Special Campaign 4.0 is an initiative by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) aimed at maintaining clean workplaces and surroundings, disposing of scrap, freeing up office spaces, and reducing the backlog of public grievances.
Approximately 100,000 square feet of office space has been freed up as part of the campaign.
The disposal of scrap material has generated revenue exceeding Rs. 9,80,000 (approximately £9,800).
Activities include cleanliness campaigns at numerous sites, weeding out redundant files, waste-to-wealth initiatives, indoor plantation, and health camps for Safai Mitras.
The preparatory phase ran from September 15 to September 30, 2024, with the implementation phase running from October 2 to October 31, 2024.
Progress is monitored daily, with data uploaded to the SCPDM portal, and the CBDT is actively using social media to promote awareness.
