New provisions relating to Rectification of name of Company to come into effect from 1st September 2021

MCA has announced that the provisions relating to Rectification of name of Company as per the Companies (Amendment) Act, 2020 and insertion of Rule 33A in Companies (Incorporation) Rules, 2014, will come into effect from 1st September 2021 onwards.

ICAI | CARO 2016 applicable for November 2021 Examinations

ICAI has announced that CARO 2016 will be applicable for CA examinations that will be conducted in November 2021 for students who are appearing for CA Inter and Final Exams and students of the old course who opted out of the July 2021 CA Exams.

ICMAI announces Revised Schedule of CMA June 2021 Exams

The Institute of Cost Accountants of India has postponed the June 2021 CMA Foundation, Inter and Final Exams. The Foundation exams will now commence from 5th September 2021, and the Inter and Final exams from 21st October 2021.

CBIC reduces compliance burden by abolishing renewals of licenses/registrations

SEBI extends AGM by Top 100 Listed Entities by Market Capitalization

SEBI has extended the timeline to hold the Annual General Meeting by Top 100 Listed Entities by Market Capitalisation. Accordingly, such entities shall hold their AGM within a period of six months from the date of closing of FY 2020-21.

Clarification regarding extension of limitation under GST Law in terms of SC's Order dated 27th April 2021

MCA inserts new Rule 33A - Allotment of a new name to the existing company under section 16(3) of the Companies Act

MCA has notified a new Rule 33A after Rule 33 which shall deal with the Allotment of a new name to the existing company under section 16(3) of the Act. Furthermore, in the annexure, a new Form INC-11C has also been inserted after Form No.INC-11B.
