I want your suggetion whether Yogendra Bangar is good for Direct tax?
I head that the book is exam oriented......but confused within Vinod Gupta/Manoharan/Bangar....
but I am planning to start DT for MAY 13 CA Final Exam from Bangar......
is there any one who has actually use the book...
Is it covers full syllabus and relevant case laws??
Waiting for expert advise .......

dont have any confusion...just go ahead with the book..even i read bangar for DT..no one suggested the book but still i went with it..i got 56 in DT..all the provisions are covered with good number of illustrations.
My advice is dont buy the past exam questions book of bangar.Just study the main material,work out the illustrations from it.Just give a reading of the case laws given in the book(dont try to remember it),see the question answers given in practice manual,study the case laws from the case book given by ICAI and work out last 2 RTP's.Im sure you will end up with good marks.All the best.
VG is the best book for Direct Tax and Bangur is best book for Indirect Tax
well as per ma opinion watever may be the book,dt is so vast so,
in paper period self made short notes is with us n play vital role...

IT REALLY IS EXAM ORIENTED THERE ARE LOT OF QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS ALONG WITH PROVISIONS.MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR IDT
TN Manoharan for DT.
ALL SECTIONS ARE COVERED AND ALL QUESTIONS ARE ANSWERED AS PER AMENDMENTS.
IF YOU CAN COVER THE WHOLE BOOK I CAN ASSURE YOU WILL GET 60+.ITS VAST SO WILL TAKE ATLEAST 2MONTHS PREPRATION(2 ROUNDS)
T.N MANOHARAN FOR DIRECT TAXES
BANGUR FOR INDIRECT TAXES
I have not only use the bangar book but also take the classes from the same.. book is good for the examination purposes and for revision purposes. But you have to go through also with the book, a question book issued by bangar separately and RTP issued by ICAI for coverage of the practical implication of the law..
Because In the bangar book, there was a less number of illustration is given because illustration and examination questions is given in separate book. So I will suggest for the book but with this book, you have to purchase these extra material also..
I does not know about T manoharan book, but VG book is very long and not exam oriented. You have to make summary for the exams from VG book.
For IDT purpose bangar and amendment and case law book from ICAI is more than sufficient
