Hi,
For the assessment year for FY 2008-2009 I have received a demand notice from Income tax department to pay Rs.10000/- tax. Upon cross verification with form 16 & My IT returns, I find that the same is calculated based on some wrong figures.
Can some one let me know how I can get this resolved.

Dear Sir,
I think U r talking about the receipt of Intimation u/s 143(1)..
Simple move an application u/s 154, within 30 days from the receipt of this demand notice for rectfication of mistakes apparent from the records along with the copy of ur Form 16 and other documents....
No Prescribed Format is there for filing this application......Just write an application on a piece of plain paper and just draw the attention of ur AO to the mistake .
