What to do if it refund is not received despite successful verification and approval by cpc?

Dear Sir/Madam,

It's been more than 10 days that my ITR has been successfully verified by CPC (Filed Online as usual in June-2019) and refund has been accepted for AY-2019-20. Same is reflecting in Intimation 143(1). However despite 10 days gone assessing officer has not yet initiated the refund.

When I call CPC they have no further information. All they say is wait but there's no defined timeline!

How long should I wait and what to do if refund is not initiated even after say 30 days?

Note that

1. My bank account has been successfully pre-validated and is reflecting under my e-filing login since June-2019

2. I still have not received the refund request number over SMS i.e. forget about getting funds into the bank, it's not yet been initiated by the assessing officer.

Dear Rajesh

You will definitely get your refund from the IT department. Generally people will get their refund with in 15days but it is not a defined period therefore refund may take more than 15days.
In earlier time, refund took months to get initiated. But you don't worry, department Will refund you your principal along with interest.

You require to pre-validate your bank account for the purpose of refund. Then only CPC will release refund.

Yes, as already mentioned in my original post, it's already done right at the time of filing my return online and it's still therein under my list of pre-validated bank accounts.
