Quick Summary
This discussion explores the taxation of share application money pending allotment, particularly when the amount has been outstanding for over six years. Participants suggest that as this money is neither income nor an expense for the company, specific tax treatment may not be required. It is typically shown in the balance sheet, and SEBI regulations may apply if the entire issue is subscribed.

I DON'T THINK THERE WILL BE ANY TAX TREATMENT REQUIRED FOR THIS BECAUSE IT IS NEITHER AN INCOME NOR AN EXPENSE.
LET'S SEE WHAT OTHERS SAY.
