I got msg regarding preponment of CA final exams from 12th april to 26th april due to elections in west bengal, uttar pradesh. This information is vide ICAI circular no:26543D\GD\523.
Is this information correct or just a rumor.....

There is no such circular posted at icai.org, and generally icai.org does not change dates for state elections. Also in case of any changes it is more likely to be postponed. The date in the examination forms should be considered final unless otherwise updated in the admit card and/ or announced at icai.org later.

Also, it was never announced to be 12th April nor 26th April. It is from 2nd May to 16th May, every alternate day. Rely more on information posted at icai.org than other websites/ text messages.
I am agree with sidd it is more likely going to be postponed not preponed, so more rely on matter posted on icai.org

there were no such circuller on icai.org
dnt go fr rumours..yaar..i dnt believe exams will b prepond..bcoz 2 yrs bfore there was election in orissa bt no changes were made..n i dnt think ths information is correct..
the answer to the aboce speculation is given in page 5 of Telegraph.....guys read newpapers it help... there is no change in exam schedule.......
