I have recieved demand notice from IT department for unaccounted cash credit. Please advise can I file appeal against this?

File an appeal in CIT (Appeals) u/s 250 or CIT u/s 264.
Also get a stay order for the demand from the Assessing Officer or if you dont pay the demand within 30 days, then you will be deemed as Assesee In Default and liable to interest and penalty u/s 220 and 221.
