Quick Summary
This discussion addresses the common query regarding the calculation of Goods and Services Tax (GST) on agent commissions. The consensus is that the commission should ideally be calculated on the base product cost (e.g., 14% of £100) before adding GST. The final calculation depends on specific contractual agreements between parties, rather than a 'tax on tax' principle.

This depends on your contractual terms. Nothing to do with GST or tax on tax.

Ideally it should be 100*14% + GST. This is what is followed in Industry commonly

Ideally it should be 100*0.14
It should be 100*14%
