Can someone please give me a reference to the case law relating to whether solatium paid can be taken as sales promotion expense and claimed as deduction or it can be considered as revenue expense? Awaiting reply at the earliest.

Hi Aksh*ta,
As per my opinion Solatium is deductionable expnense. If this compensation is made for promote the business or sale than this expenses is allowed as deduction.
