There is a need to increase in stipend for the articles as there are many valid reasons. Today the articles get a stipend around Rs 1250 to Rs 2500 for first year. Many student come in Pune or in Metro city from there home town to study. What we get today in Rs 2500 for the whole month--
Expenses for the month
a) Room Rent --- Rs 1800
b) Mess ( Food) Expenses --- Rs 1500, ( excluding Sunday)
C Sunday food expenses --- Rs 500
d) Traveling expenses --- Rs 1200
e) Telephone Charges --- Rs 500
f) Other charges --- Rs 1000.
Total Expenses Rs 6500 this are all min expenses. How much a person should depend on his family at an age of 23 to 26, who has came from a rural area. What has not increase today Petrol from Rs 51 to Rs 55.82 or Gas from Rs 315 to Rs 345 or our exam fee from Rs 1250 to Rs 1600. All the expenses around us are increasing in every manner but our income source from articleship is not increasing.
I don’t say that increase our stipend but at least think about it once that how an article will survive in his stipend in this condition.
