What is meant by preventive health check up and medical expenditure? Is there any specified list or other conditions attached for availing it ?

preventive health check up is nothing but the Medical check up that you take periodically or whenever required. you can claim upto 5000 in respect of medical check up u/s. 80D. however medical expenses you can't claim as it's meant for super sr. citizens

no ... only to super senior citizen
And deduction for preventive health check up can be taken even if one is not having any medical insurance policy?
yes... but only to a maximum of 5000 rs.. for example you can claim 5000 for yourself and your family and 5000 on account of your parents...
