Medical expenses reimbursed is now taxable from f.y 2018-19 from 1st April 2019, earlier it was allowed maximum of RS 15000 but now it is taxable , both transport allowance and medical reimbursement exemption has been removed and standard deduction allowed ₹40,000
Medical expenses reimbursement / medicine bills reimbursement are now taxable and not exempt. in lieu of this Standard deduction you are getting.
