Salary 12 LPA what will be tax on an average as per 2019 new slabs, if I do investments of 1.5 lakhs ,will I get benefits ast per new rules?

Or it will be same as earlier

Same as earlier , but new section inserted section 16 (standard deduction) upto 40,000!!!! kindly refer
