Yes this is the dfined procedure of filing of income tax return online. If you don't do this OR  if you dont follow the procedure then you return is UNVALID & treat as that you haven't file any return.....So do the procedure in full mode....

And about second question , you have to send the one copy to Banglore for verification.............

 One copy, by ordinary post, the ITR V must be in A4 size paper and printing should be good quality. You will get acknowledgement by email first.
