Reset password & provide alternate email id

I have a big problem!!! there are only few days left to file my returns online and i am not having the password to login on the efiling website. i tried to reset it but the email ID which i had given at the time of registering the password is not known.i have sent mail to validate @ incometaxindia.gov.in but there was no reply can anybody help me out with this....Please

in the website there are 3 options given for resetting the password and only 1 of those will send the password to the registered email id. U can try othr two options for which u have to give certain details and u will be given option to change the passwrd in the next page..

If it is the email id that you have forgotten then there certainly is a problem. Try remembering it. One idea is to search your other email ids to see if you have sent or received a mail from the one registered with the Income Tax Department. This usually gives you an idea of what your other ID is. I remember the same thing happening with my gmail id and one search gave me a list of associated emails. Try it. Other than not I’m sorry I can’t help.
