Required ITR 4 form in word format

Hi,

This year the IT department have issued the ITR forms in only pdf format. No word format forms available this time unlike the last year. There seems to be no standard followed by the department on the issue date or what formats to be published.

pdf files are not possible to edit without a licensed software. I requested the same with the department and looks like they are unresponsive to such requests. I don't know what's the reason they don't make these forms available in word format.

Please, it will be a great help, if anyone of you who have got a licensed version of Acrobat and can convert the ITR 4 from pdf to word format and post on this site.

After finding no other solution to edit the ITR4 form, I took the longer route of creating the word document by taking last year's ITR4 form (in word format) comparing and editing it with changes using this year ITR4 form (in pdf format). This will be helpful to those who cannot edit pdf forms and do not want to wait for the department to upload the file and do away with their tax filing process.

I hope next year the IT department upload the word format forms too, as it is not possible for everyone to edit the pdf files without the necessary software and they cannot expect us to file the forms in hand.
