Hi Expert,
I am renting in a flat for residential purpose in my company name and the monthly rental is Rs. 27000/-. As a company, I need to deduct the TDS on rent because there is single owner.
But Owner is asking to split the rent into two agreements - one as rent agreement on owner name (15000/-) and other as hire agreement on owner's wife name (12000/-) for hiring furnitures like fans, tubes, geysers, ACs.
Query - Is it right way to do it? If not, what are the risk involve for the company?
