Refund of fees paid twice

 Hello friends,

One of my friends has paid his exam fee through sbi I collect. While online process at the time of payment  by bank of baroda net banking .due to some network issue the PDF was not generated and it was showing transaction was not successful. So he again made payment by sbi net banking and that time transaction was successful and PDF also generated successfully.  The issue is that bank charged him for the both transactions out of which one was successful and another was unsuccessful. Please suggest what to do now?
