Reactivation of DIN

If I have a LLP which had been closed does the DIN need to have KYC each year even if i am not associate with any LLP?

If i don't KYC each year and after few years decides to reactivate again will the penalty be 5000 for each year or it is just one time fee for that year?

If I have a DIN can I surrender it and later revoke it if I want to start again?

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the process for reactivating a closed LLP, specifically focusing on the Director Identification Number (DIN). It confirms that annual DIN KYC is mandatory, even if you're not currently associated with an LLP. The penalty for not filing KYC is a one-time fee of £5,000, regardless of how many years it's been overdue. Furthermore, you cannot surrender a DIN once it has been used.

Yes, every year needs to file DIN KYC.

5000 additional fees is one time, even if you file after 10 years.

You cant surrender DIN once used.
