I have one invoice related to legal exp,Fy 2017-18 which is not booked in books of account till the date
can we take RCM GST input after invoice booking and payment of RCM GST in current period?

No... As per GST...
But, You can consider the expense in Your current year books of accounts under income tax...
In GST You can pay the rcm tax with interest through DRC-03 Form...

could you please elaborate more why we not able to take input if we pay RCM GST today and book invoice in current period ?
