Query in Amalgamation...Please Help

I mean why not we directly do for AB----  790000/6000 to calculate IV. Similarly for MB.

This is not correct.

Shares of AB ltd are 10000. you are not considering investment. it is our asset.

IV means total of all assets.

well here values of all the assets & liabilities would b taken as it is except investments ,value of investments would b calculated using the equation

let investments of ab & mb be AB & MB respectively 

AB=350000+.25MB

MB=500000+.40AB

similar problem was asked in may 2006 and if some one has mp vijaykumar then problem no. 34

This ques. was not asked in May 06. I have checked Institute complier and scanner.
