Dividend distribution tax rate for F.Y. 2008-09 is 16.995%.

The bifurcation is as follows:

Dividend tax (as a % of dividend) - 15%

Surcharge (as a % of dividend) - 1.5%

Education cess (as a % of dividend) - 0.33%
