First of all correct your query, Section 165(1) and explanation says about maximum no. of directorship.... and It says " Directorship in a private company which is either Holding or Subsidiary of Any Public company "" then limit of directorship will be limited to 10....
Mean to say, A person can hold position as director in maximum 20 Companies only... In Which Max. 10 Public companies, Here Public cos not only include Public Limited/Listed entities only While any private company which is a holding or subsidiary of Public company....
