Past papers are the best remedy.
At the time of examination, you can reffer one paper in 15 minutes provided the suggested are underlined, so you can refer 20 papers in hours, which is justified for the same. But for the same you have to read the same for twice. First time you have to read only and in the another round you have to highlight and/or underline the same. Both the round will take 10 hours each again this is the justified amount of time.
Finally, you can prepare the best by giving 25 hours(as a whole) from today
is it better to doing past examination paper instead of practice manual.

Do the past papers which u can find in the ICAI website as compilation of papers. If you do atleast five years papers it's more than enough
or read institute's study material and paractise material
