Old provisions of income tax act

Friends,

Please tell me where can I find the bare act that has not been amended by various finance act. I actually want to calculate relief u/s section 89 for an employee who has got arrears of salary from FY 1996-97. I want the provisions with respect to Rebate u/s 88B,88C,16(i),etc.... The amended bare act shows these as deleted... If this is not possible please tell me an alternate way to calculate relief,.... This employee has had taxable income and tax payable in all earlier year and has with arrears in this FY he has huge amount of tax payable goin in lacs.... please do help me.....
