LUT is beneficial in case of exports.. You dont need to pay IGST on exports of goods or services if you have letter of understanding..

The government has given Facility to Exporter to that If he file the LUT , IGST applicable on export not be charged.
With LUT : No IGST applicable on export
Without LUT : IGST applicable on export
With LUT : No IGST applicable on export
Without LUT : IGST applicable on export

LUT facility provided by government to some exporter which full fill some condition
