In Nov 2014 attempt and onwards Companies Act 2013 has come into picture.. a substantial part of da new Act is included in da syllabus for nov 2014 attempt .comapnies act 1956 is also there in da syllabus .I think it will be better if u give a superficial reading of da Amendment book as well as as da new book to decide which one will more comfortable for u for ur exam purpose...

New book and good study of amendments... is best for u

For better clarity of the amendments buy munish new book(if possible buy big book only) and in that read only new sections. AND buy new practice manual..they have given practical questions on new sections so.
1st juz read law amendment material . After reading 1 section then parallely come to new munish book and read the same..finaly stick to munish buk. U must buy munish buk..it gives u full clarity without any further doubts/confusions.
