i have to pay rent of rs 300000 exclusive of service tax, have to deduct TDS, what will be the procedure and what will be entries for the same.

(1) Rent a/c Dr.       300000

             To land lord.          300000

( 2 ) Land Lord Dr.    300000

             To Bank.                 270000

             To TDS.                     30000

( 3 ) TDS Dr.               30000

             To Bank.                  30000

( 4 ) "service tax on rent" paid seprettly to land lord.
