I am 30, is it possible to do CA course at this age?

I am in a good job now, so it is hard for me to go for article ship, is it mandatory? or any kind of exception available.

 Pl. advice.

Ya its possible to do. But consider the following things also before u decide. If you want growth in the job currently u are pursuing, then doing CA will be of no use. However, if u want to enter into public practise after CA, then u can go. Reason being you have to do mandatorily articleship for 2 years and in the last year alone u will be permitted to do industrial training. Pay will be very less in both articleship as well as industrial training(infact only a few thousands which wont be enough for you to meet the cost of buying good ref books or cost of living also) compared to what u will be getting from your job right now(i assume that u are getting a good pay considering your qualifications). IF u have a family to support or any other responsibilities, again doing CA is not prudent considering the opportunity costs and no of years involved(you will be around 34 or 35 by the time u qualify CA considering that u pass all stages in first attempt and articleship being mandatory, u wont be earning much if u have any responsibilities to fulfil). In your case, as per my opinion, doing CIMA(UK) will be more beneficial(considering that u have already qualified CMA and ICWA and have exposure in industry,  u will have to write only a couple of papers to qualify CIMA and get membership with that institute and time involved is less and also that CIMA(UK) will be useful in fetching you some management consulting roles and also decent immigrant jobs). I am not discouraging you but i am just telling you to consider all these factors and at the end if u feel justified to do CA, then go for it. All the Best
