Is It Necessary to Form HUF

Dear CA friends

 I need ur help in one issue

I am having a salary income and agriculture income of Nearly 45000/- for my agriculture land of 3 acres.

This land is parental and now on my name. I m filling my returns regulalry as an individual

Now this time income tax person says that u should form a HUF if u want to show agriculture income

I want to know that whether is it mandatory to form HUF for showing agriculture income? Can i not show as an individual..

from last 5-6 years i m showing my agriculture income as an individual.

So what happened this time?

Also pls tell me is there any diffence whether the agriculture land is parental or purchased by me?

or is there any difference if i showed agriculture income of rs 45000/- or Rs 95000/-?

what proofs are required for that?
