While filing for the IT returns for the financial year 2009-10, someone had put the assessement year as 2009-10 (instead of 2010-11), which makes it filing for the previous year.
Is there a way to get this rectified ? The attached Form-16, of course has the right information about the assessment year and all other data matches with that form-16.
Any help on this would be much appreciated.
Not possible, unless queried by ITD....
Thanks for your response. The return for the previous year would be filed twice. Since it was manual filing then, it didnt show up during the filing process.
