Hi Team,

I am shifting to Saudi Arabia on Work Permit Visa to Al Khobar. I understand that tere is no tax to be paid in Saudi Arabia. Please let me know if I remit my savings from my saudi salary to India will there be any tax. What are the Tax Rules ? Please elaborate.

Hi Nayakam,

In my opinion, Remittance of your saving to India will not be taxable at all.

But if you are Resident as per Income tax Act in that year, then your foreign+indian income will be chargeble to tax. so your salary will be taxable.

If you are non resident , then only your indian income will be taxable. so your salary (saudi) will not be taxable.

For deciding whether a salary income is indian or foreign income, the place at which services rendered by you will be considered.
