to gain an understanding about how to present answers in the ca examinations, you must practice from the gurukripa books, to gain conceptual understanding and indepth study go for V.K. Singhania, however it is better at the final stage. all the best!

V.K.Singhaniya,padhuka, also nice book for income tax

VK singhania as well as Padhuka is good for IPCC & PCC.

I am studying from VK Singhania of Taxmann for Taxation..
New edition is available in market now..
Everything is supported by Examples and Illustrations..
You may also go for TN Manoharan its also a good book and Exam oriented..
But for Depth knowledge and from Practical aspects, VK Singhania is best..

If you are able to understand standard and a bit of complex english, then refer Singhania, which is also having lots of practice problems, in other case, if you want simple language than Singhania go for Girish Ahuja or Manoharan. Both are good.
