Legal heir/Karta of HUF should reply to the notice.......... and if income exceeded BEL in corresponding year, should file return in its response.
you can file return of income til 31.3.2018 so it is suggested that you file the return
No transaction In name of HUF after death , still need to file ITR
You can reply notice via login to ur e-filing account in the tab my compliance and say reasn for non filing as no transactions.
Later if you feel you will have no transaction in future and you do not wish to file return or surrender the pan no you can go to the jurisdictional officer and submit a letter for the same in writing.
