Gen query about it refund ay 19-20

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am following up with CPC on my Incometax refund matters. I also wrote another post on this forum. Despite refund confirmed in 143-1 and my same bank account already pre-validated and than PAN is linked in my bank account, I am awaiting refund for quite a long. SBI has no info, nothing is seen on TIN NSDL. (No Records Found)

Now when I called CPC they are saying that this year many of the taxpayers are facing this issue and I should wait for some more time.

However in case of my relatives they got it in just  2- 3 days.

Does anyone have any idea if this year (AY 19-20) refund is really taking time for taxpayers or was it just beating around the bush by the CPC?

Moreover they have no defined timeline to process refund & it means it can theoretically take years and they still escape the liability.
