Foreign equity participation
Our company is seeking foreign equity participation in our new manufacturing venture. The foreign company wants us to treat the invoiced value of machinery they will be offering to our plant as their equity. This foreign equity is less than 40% of our total project cost. Can this be done and how, by what legally valid procedure, can this be done . Is there any government prescribed procedure for doing this?
