Please clarify my below doubt
I am a road contractor for government i sure that i am not liable to service tax. BUT I HAVE DOUBT THAT WHETHER I HAVE TO PAY SERVICE TAX ON BEHALF OF MY SUB CONTRACTOR FOR MY CONTRACT TO GOVERNMENT. WHETHER SERVICE TAX WILL BE LIABLE FOR THIS SITUATION.
Dear Mr. Tejas, You as a person is not exempted from service tax but the service which you render is exempted from service tax. So long as the service is exempted, your sub contractor also not liable to service tax.
