I have cleared both groups of IPCC in this may 2011 exam. I have joined a firm for articleship from 30th october 2011. Am i eligible for May 2014 Final exam?

The following is the rule regarding eligibility... Pls help me friends!!

Students who have registered and passed Integrated Professional Competence Course and registered for Final Course. -

(prescribed Articled training

period 3 years)

Completed or completing prescribed period of articled training i.e. 3 years (including excess leave, if any) on or before the last day of the month preceding the month in which the examination is held;

Serving last 6 months (including excess leave, if any) of articled training as on the first day of the month in which examination is held.

Yes as on now your are eligible for May'14 exams but you need to know that your attempt is exactly 6 months before your Articleship completion and the 6 months do include any excess leave also.

Had you been registered on 01/11/2011 then you would not be eligible for attempt in May 2014 Exam . As per ICAI provisions for articleship after you clear your IPCC exams a student has to get registered for articleship within 2 months excluding the month in which your result was declared .......

Thank you all!! so i am eligible for the may 2014 exam... n my articeship form should be submitted to the regional office by november end ? if it doesnt reach the institute by nov end and i pay the penalty of Rs100 or sumthing.. will my final attempt be delayed?
