E-returns password

No one has the right to hold your password.Furthur you can reset your password if you forgot it.I wonder how your Auditor has E-Filed your income tax return without Pasword.

Dear Rajeshwari,

Provide the Following information and sent to Efiling Administrator validate @ incometaxindia.gov.in

1) PAN

2) Name 
3) Date of Birth/Date of Incorporation 
4) Father’s Name 
5) Address (As per PAN registration) 

Better you try forgot password option,

----> PAN details,

Provide your pan details as,

Name - as per your pan card

DOB - as displayed in the PAN card

alternate email ID

the new password will reach u wih in 5 min

you can use the forget password utility on the income tax efiling site.

Choose the option to one (using your Efiling acknowledgement no and bank account no) to reset your password.

any one who is aware of  ur pan card number,and date of bith and your father name

can reset your password,,may file return ...of course that return requires ur signature to get validated before dept.

it is very easy to reset password..

the above option by Rajesh is best one... 
it is tried and tested by me.

when u have last year ITRV with you, then whats prob?, reset your pwd with last year aknowledgement number.

I tried the above solutions but the password restting goes to the email id of my previous chartered acc who is no more . I do not know how the present ca e- filed my returns. I no longer want to continue with him.is there a method by which i can change the e-mail id in the e-filing of it site. please help. thanks n regards

If you want your password on new mail Id than please send a request for new password on validate @ incometaxindia.gov.in with following details.

Pan

Name as per Pan card

date of Birth as per pan card

Father's name as per pan card

Mobile No.

Address 

New mail I.d

department will send you password on your new mail ID and after login you can reset your password and mail I.D.

Go to www.incometaxindia.gov.in

in login credentials click to forget details - nw u r required to put your PAN after entering ur PAN click to  "GO"

After this three options will be avilable to you - 

• Enter Secret Question & Answer
• Enter e-filing acknowledgement No & bank Account No. as per AY 11-12
• Enter PAN Details

U might not know secret ques n ans in first one

In PAN details PAssword will be sent to mail ID registered

In second option u will get an option to change your password here itself. So go by second option and reset ur password.

i agree with siddharth mehra.

u have to give the bank account number which was given while e-filling for the A.Y 2011-12

in this method the new password will not sent to e-mail ID. while exercising the option itself u have to give the new password
