Doubt on exemption

hi all,

i have a small doubt regarding exemption...pls clarify...if i score exemption in one subject, then to pass in the group, is it enough if i score the remaining marks in the group so that the total will come up to 200 or should i still have to score 150 in the remaining 3 subjects in aggregate to get thru the group....pls clarify......for eg, if i score 60, then if i score balance 140, will i pass or should i still have to score 150 in the remaining 3 subjects.....
