Hello, I want to know the GST rate on sale of Old and new empty gunny bags and HDPE bags

1. Chapter 63(Other made up textile articles, sets, worn clothing and worn textile articles; rags)

5% - 6305 - Sacks and bags, of a kind used for the packing of goods (All goods of sale value not exceeding Rs. 1000 per piece)

12% - 6305 - Sacks and bags, of a kind used for the packing of goods (All goods of sale value exceeding Rs. 1000 per piece)

[As per discussions in the GST Council Meeting held on 3rd June, 2017]

2. Chapter 39 (Plastics and articles thereof)

18% - 3923 - Articles for conveyance or packing of goods, etc. of plastics

[As per discussions in the GST Council Meeting held on 18th May, 2017]

Note1: Chapter number mentioned here is related to excise. Thought Govt classified Goods on HSN basis but rate were specified on Excise Code basis. (its embarassing)

Dear sirs,

we are the traders of old gunny bags in a singile lorry we load 250 bundils of old gunny bags each 650 rs total invoice value 162500 now tell me what is the gst tax rate for this.

each gunny bag cost : 13rs

one bundele cost : 650

Total invoice amount : 162500/-

If sale is with in state, then cgst 2.5% of 162500 + sgst 2.5% of 162500. If sale is out side the state then igst 5% of 162500. In both the cases total taxable invoice amount is 162500 + 8125 .
