Relaxation regarding what? training?

Yes, you just give exams and don't do training. In order to practise you would need to enrol as member, which can be done only after 3 years training or work experience. You won't be able to use AICWA designation and won't be able to appear for CMA designation exams also.

Confirm this with council/ chapter.

CA Articleship won't count for that.
