I have loss from commodity trading at MCX. Is this a speculation loss or otherwise?

Trading from a recognised exchange such as NSE, BSE, MCX, NCDEX etc does not amount to speculative trade. Hence loss will be treated as business loss or capital loss, depending on the nature of your business and transactions.
