Claiming tds

TDS / TCS 625 views 1 replies

1. Can UNCLAIMED TDS be claimed subsequently say after 1 year of Return filing.

2. Can we revise the TDS Return file for AY 2009-10? as the TDS is not reflected in 26AS of the Deductee's A/c.

Pls. Advise

only way to claim the tds is to file revised ITR. but time limit under section 139(4) has to be kept in mind.

about the TDS return I dont know exact position but i dont think there is any prohibition for that. but at the same time revising/correcting tds return only worth if you have time to revise the income tax return to get the refund
