Sir,
we are manufacturing of sponge iron and in our unit's last audit, dept officers cancel the cenvat taken on cement and angels that we used to manufacture the final product. pl explain because iam new in this unit.

Dear Sir,
Cement and Structural items such as angles, channels and bars used for construction and fabrication of structures are not entitled to cenvat.
In your case, cement is used for manufacture of exciseable goods. It is one of the input for your product. So it is eligible for cenvat
