Dear Friends,

Recently, I joined an organisation on 8th January 2024. My CTC is INR 50,000/- per month. And they gave me salary INR 38,709/- on the basis of 31 days calculation. Is this correct?

Yes. Correct. Since Jan has 31 days. If it feb then it will be calculated for 28 days or 29 days
Is this correct?

It's based on Your appointment...

What about the details in Your appointment letter with CTC...??!

CTC is INR 50,000/- per month. Leave as per organisation policy. No other benefits.

@ Mr Vikaram,

Please check Your Salary structure as per in the Appointment Order...
The said salary for 30/31 days or 26 days...

If it's shown as 30/31 days then the salary is correct.
If it's shown as 26 days then the salary is incorrect...

Thanks for your reply, But as I mentioned earlier it is written CTC 50,000/- only. Nowhere written 26/30/31 days basis.

Ohh okay...

Better to discuss with Your employer for this kind of issues.

Generally Salary calculated with 26 days.
But, Check out the follow up in Your employer's terms...

As per Your query, It's can be cleared
Only way through Your Employer...
Just check the terms and conditions for deduction of salary. If deduction is on day basis then calculation made on the basis of number of days in the particular month.

You mean 31 days calculation is correct for January 2024.
